Frustrated

This is just a short post to say I am still here, but I can't manage to post photos.  At least through Firefox I can still post print (I hope), with Internet Explorer I waited nearly five minutes for the site to load, then gave up in disgust.

I have a lovely photo of our grandson Alexander holding an owl at Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary in Brisbane.  He was part of a small group of children who became zookeeper's helpers for a couple of hours.  This was such an exciting experience for him, he went into the dingo's enclosure to help feed them and was allowed to pat them, he handled some small reptiles, had his photo taken with a koala of course, went behind the scenes in the platypus enclosure, and generally learned a lot about what the work of a zoo keeper is.  He was absolutely enthralled.  Perhaps I will be able to post photos tomorrow.  We will see.

  1. I had similar problems with Internet Explorer and my daughter fixed me up with Google Chrome which is behaving very nicely so far.
What a treat for Alexander and the other children. I can imagine their delight at being allowed to handle some of the animals. Looking forward to seeing your pics.

  2. Sorry about that Robin Mac - for all the pleasure we get from computers in general and our blogs in particular there are always frustrations. My computer ability is quite limited so I have to then wait for my son to sort it out for me. Ilook forward to that photograph.

  3. How frustrating for you, Robin. I'm sure sometimes that computers were invented by an evil genius to drive us all around the bend. They lull us into a false sense of security and then, when we've come to rely on them, they misbehave - and the evil genius is laughing all the while. The zookeeper's helpers sounds like a great experience. I know my granddaughter Emma would love something like that.

  4. I totally agree with Monica re computers. I was terrified of mine until I was introduced to Linux and now everything is good....fingers crossed....after all it is still technology I guess.

A shame not to see the photos, the children would have had a wonderful day being helpers. Perhaps photos next time.
    Good luck.
