Checking in

No photos this time, but I thought I would let you all know that I am absolutely thrilled with my new knee,  I had the surgery on the Tuesday, came home last Saturday morning and haven't used my crutches since!  I saw the physio yesterday who was very pleased with my progress and says I can go walking for ten minutes each day.  the surgeon took the staples out (32) this afternoon and that was a big relief also.  I can even walk up and down  the stairs to the upstairs part of the house, though I am typing this on the laptop downstairs.  I shall start catching up with blogs in the next few days, now I am going for a walk outside in the wonderful sunshine we are enjoying here.

  2. That's wonderful news Robin - you are making a remarkable recovery and I am so pleased for you - I thought it would take much longer. It's very comforting to hear as I think I may have knee problems in the future. Enjoy your walk in the sun.

  6. That's wonderful Robin! They certainly have a different technique in AUS as in Norway. My DH has got 6 weeks with crutches and had to exercise with physiotherapy in 4 months!
    Good for you :)

  7. Pleased to hear the good news about your knee operation, Robin. I could only describe my knee replacements as liberating. Walking without pain is wonderful - and easy to take for granted.
